Dr. Zhang Zhenwen, a research professor at the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, works at cassava post harvest and food processing. He is the vice Chief Scientist of the Chinese Cassava Agro-technology Research System(CCARS), and also the post expert of National R&D Center for Patato Processing.In 2020, he was recognized as "top talent" by Hainan Human Resource Center, and in 2022, he was appointed as a member of Hainan Food Safety Evaluation Committee.
He has made significant achievements in the accurate evaluation of cassava post harvest and cassava flour processing, high-value utilization and industrialization development of by products. He has developed more than 84 kinds cassava food based on edible cassava flour. As the first or corresponding author, he has published about 16 papers and 3 monographs developed 12 national and industrial standardsin last five years. He gained near 4 National and provincial-level awards, among which "Application and Extension of South China Series New Varieties of Cassava," won the first prize of Science and Technology Award of Hainan province.
